Michael New
Principal, Financial Planner
Michael New is the principal and founder of Surveyor Financial Services.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Education and began his working career as a high school teacher in 1984. He later decided to follow his true passion of financial education and with this realisation he commenced his career as a self-employed Financial Planner in 1994.
Michael has been a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Australia since 1994 and in 2000 he qualified as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), which is the highest designation a financial planner can obtain and is recognised internationally.
It is the striving to learn, professional standards and quality advice that Michael is focussed upon to benefit his clients. The recipe for his success is having a deep understanding of his client’s needs and supporting them with excellent staff.
Michael has two adult children and enjoys rugby union, kayaking and travel. In the future Michael would like to hook up his caravan and go for a long trip around Australia.
Emma Edwards
Client Relationship Manager and Paraplanner
Emma joined Surveyor Financial Services in 2011 as a Paraplanner and has since taken on the role of Client Relationship Manager.
Emma has worked in the financial services industry since 2004, during which time she worked for large superannuation fund managers as well as an industry super fund. Emma has a wealth of experience and knowledge of superannuation administration and systems.
Emma works Monday to Thursday.
